What a treat it was to head to Hawaii for our full day workshop. Think perfect weather, palm trees, and vibrant colors. Sugar Beach Events hosted us for the day and we couldn’t get enough of the breathtaking ocean views! A special thank you to Lorrie of Maui’s Angels for creating a fun and tropical overall vibe for attendees to enjoy. There were hues of coral, apricot, and peach throughout the event design, that we loved! We started the day with breakfast outside —what’s better than that?! The space was accompanied by stations of vibrant and colorful cuisine. We couldn’t get enough of the iced coffee topped with mini donuts and biscuit breakfast bar station (Sugar Beach Events).
Lorrie and the Maui’s Angels teamed worked closely with our talented bestie, Kaleigh of Méldeen to create fresh signage and design elements. We loved the dimension the cylinder event programs created and of course the acrylic signage and Hawaii Workshop window decal. Another stand out element from the day was the linen, especially the tangerine print runner (Nuage Designs). Some other Insta-worthy details from the day included the stage backdrop + decor (Envisions Creative Event Production) and the Aloha sign topped with fresh flowers in the outdoor space (Bella Bloom Floral Boutique). Check out more of the tropical details from the workshop below captured by the talented (NV Maui Media).
Breakfast, lunch, and cocktail hour were all hosted in the Sugar Beach Event outdoor space. We are still dreaming about the pretzel bar including fresh baked salted pretzels with spicy mustard, honey mustard, and caramel (so many options)! We also really enjoyed lounging on the plush white couches (Inspiration Events Hawaii, Inc.) catching some sun and networking with wedding pros.
Let’s talk education! Attendees got the chance to learn from some pretty talented industry experts. Local pros including Chris J. Evans (Chris J. Evans Photography), Carolee Higashino (White Orchid Weddings), Jordan Nagasako (HI Focused Cinematography), Sasha Wasio (WASIO Photography), and Kaleigh Wiese (Méldeen) shared tips for the taking. We also got to learn from Alison Rinderknecht of Alison Events (Building A Rockstar Client Base) and Jove Meyer of Jove Meyer Events (LGBT Wedding Rules To Know). We walked away with so many new ideas thanks to each pro that shared real life examples.
We ended the day with a cocktail hour where the mantra was “Treat yo self!”. There was a gifting station where attendees could choose from an assortment of favors (Cake Fanatics!). The Aloha cocktail hour was filled with a south of the Hawaiian border flair. Attendees got to enjoy hand passed ceviche, ahi poke cones, and an interactive make your own guacamole bar—yeah we said make your own guac! Let’s not forget about the music (Maui DJ Services) we were able to listen to with a drink in hand!
The vibes were amazing throughout the day and we had so much fun with local wedding pros. We are so thankful we got to spend time with the Hawaii wedding community and can’t wait to visit again soon! Aloha.
A VERY special thank you to all our amazingly talented friends who made this day happen!
