10 Details From The Knot Gala 2017 We Can’t Stop Thinking About

It’s hard to believe that just a few days ago we were partying it up at The New York Public Library with over one thousand of our closest friends at The Knot Gala. We love the gala not just because of all the Instagram-able moments, but also because it’s a time for the wedding pro community (from big names like Marcy Blum, Bryan Rafanelli, to up-and-comers) to come together and let loose. The gala is one of the highlights of the NYC social calendar and we are blown away every year by the designs our talented vendors partners come up with. And thanks to planner Emily Clarke Events, this year did not disappoint!

From the Shakespeare quotes lining the stars (Bombshell Graphics) to the VIP Rosé Room (featuring Promise Wine rosé ), we could go on for a while about all the amazing details. Here, 10 details at at this year’s gala that we just can’t stop thinking about, featuring photos by Hechler Photography

1. The Shakespearean-Inspired Decor

The play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” served as the inspiration for the decor concept of our gorgeous gala. And leave it to the seriously talented team at Emily Clarke Events to create the perfect combination of moody lighting (Levy NYC), jewel colors like emerald, gold and purple and a cast of woodland characters (Shien Artists) to transform The New York Public Library into a garden at midnight.

2. The Butterfly Lighting

This gorgeous custom stage (HITECH Events, LLC) was home not only to our rockin’ band (Jordan Khan Music Company), but also a chorus of digitally mapped white butterflies (Levy NYC), flickering across the floral throughout the night.

3. The LED-Powered Ballerinas

The gala might have been black tie, but we made an exception for these ladies. Guests were treated to a seriously beautiful troupe of ballerinas, lit by LED lights, twirling on the dance floor and throughout the party (Shien Artists).

4. Hayley Paige’s Appearance at our Facebook Live Show

In case you missed our Facebook Live show from the red carpet, check it out on The Knot Pro page. Guests like Desiree Hartsock (The Bachelorette), Kaleigh Weise (Meldeen) and bridal designer Hayley Paige stopped by to chat!

5. The Glam Magazine-Style Portrait Studio

This one was definitely a fan-favorite. Guests at the gala got a chance to snag a “Vanity Fair” style portrait alone or with friends by photography team Banga Studios. Check out the full gallery here!

6. The Champagne Bubble Bathtub

Photo ops were aplenty at our gala. One of our absolute favorites? The floral bubble bath filled with faux bubbles and over-sized bottles of Perrier-Jouët. Where else would Randy Fenoli and The Knot co-founder Carley Roney snap a pic?

7. The Living Flower Wall and Other Over-The-Top Floral

From the living flower wall (with flower queen from Shien Artists) with floral by Design House Decor, to the dramatic floral “statues” with headpieces of purple and blue blooms (Scarlett Entertainment) to the gorgeous step and repeat featuring stationery design by Ceci New York, the gala was filled to the brim with luscious, larger than life floral. And yep, that’s our beautiful planner Emily Clarke (in emerald), the mastermind and blonde bombshell behind the gala!

8. The Fairy Treasure Hors d’oeuvres

The catering team at Marcia Selden Catering served delicious bites in teeny egg shells and miniature wooden bowls. Rumor has it — Robin Hood was running around handing out cutlery! Hechler-B_0684Hechler-C-1093

9. The Non-Stop Party Music

It’s no secret that the wedding industry is filled with hard-working people who know how to get down. Jordan Kahn Music Company and DJ Jacob kept our guests on the dance floor all night long.

10. The Feet-Saving Rescue Flats

Um, hello miracle workers! We were so grateful to slip on the cute Rescue Flats at the end of the night when our feet had enough with high heels. Can every event come stocked with these?
