We headed back to Minneapolis for our full day workshop at the Nicollet Island Pavilion. We started the day with an out-of-this-world breakfast courtesy of Mintahoe Catering & Events. Think: a yummy bloody mary bar and fruit pizzas. The day was filled with learning, networking, and a gorgeous view of the Mississippi River. The main message of our Minneapolis workshop? “Create the things you wish existed.”
Ashley and Kerri of La vie Charmé by Simply Elegant Group went above and beyond to make the workshop truly magical. Together, they played with the industrial vibes of the venue and pulled in a stunning hand crafted stage backdrop. The intricate wooden backdrop was paired with the most beautiful floral decor and paper moths (Studio C Floral + Botany Creative Works). We loved it all — from the sleek linens (Linen Effects + Event Lab), to the sequin photo booth backdrop (Selfie & Co.). Our dear friend Kaleigh of Méldeen teamed up with the lovely ladies of La vie Charmé by Simple Elegant Group to design all the stationery pieces with clean contemporary textures. Check out more of the industrial inspired details captured by the talented Kendra Oxendale Photography.
Menus on clipboards (Méldeen), beautiful hues of purple through the tablescape, and a very berry dessert (Mintahoe Catering & Events) made the perfect lunch combination. We especially loved getting a chance to chat with so many amazing local wedding pros! And let’s not forget about the nice breeze from the Mississippi River.
Attendees got the chance to learn from some pretty awesome industry rock stars throughout the day. Local pros including Amy Zaroff (Amy Zaroff Events + Design), Amy Fuerstenberg (Mi Mi Design), Amy Steil Penas (Mi Mi Design), Brian Bossany (Brian Bossany Photography), Gretchen Culver (Rocket Science Events), and Jessica Mae (War Paint International) shared real life experiences during the Pro Panel. We also got to learn from Brian Leahy of Brian Leahy Photography (Network to Networth), Sam Jacobson of Ideaction Consulting (Your Top Pricing Questions — Answered!), Jesi Haack of Jesi Haack Design (Brand Yo’ Self), and Jove Meyer of Jove Meyer Events (LGBTQ Wedding Planning). We got so many tips for the taking!
After a long day of learning, we got to enjoy some quality party time with friends! We most certaintly felt the love in Minneapolis and we had an amazing day learning new ways to better the wedding industry together.
