Our third full-day workshop of the year was in New Orleans at the luxurious and iconic Windsor Court Hotel (just a short walk from the historic French Quarter). The focus of the day was around dreaming, creating and inspiring (and the inspiration was contagious!).
We worked closely with our dear friend and planner Danielle from NOLA BASH to create an experience with one-of-a-kind decor, food and fun — and let’s not forget the delicious lunch served with a side of champagne. Kaleigh, the talented Austin-based design guru of Méldeen, came up with the stationery design elements, creating an old-New Orleans look. We loved it all- from the stage decor (by See-Hear Productions + NOLA BASH + Méldeen) to the lunch table decor (by Yur Event Rental + Luminous Events of New Orleans + Event Rental-NOLA + Poppy and Mint Floral). Check out more of the dreamy and mysterious details captured by the talented Paul Morse Photography below!!
Stephanie Cain moderated a fun conversation with New Orleans-area engaged and newly married couples about their planning process!
We are so happy to reward the 2017 Best of Wedding winners (wedding pros who have received rave reviews on The Knot from their past clients, that is) attending the workshop with some VIP treatment! Check out the mini champagne bottles the winners received.
The tablescapes at lunch were elegantly dressed with antique gold accents and beautiful floral decor topped with white feathers by Poppy and Mint Floral. The unique place settings were from Luminous Events of New Orleans, and Event Rental-NOLA provided the lunch chairs. The food at the Windsor Court Hotel was the tastiest, and guests enjoyed music from the talented Kinfolk Brass Band during the sit-down lunch.
We were so inspired by the content from the day! Local pros including Cierra Johnson Hicks of Southern Amore’ Studios, Emily Sullivan of Emily Sullivan Events, Greer Gattuso of Greer Gattuso Photography and Melissa Samuels of Melissa’s Fine Pastries dished out some amazing tips. We also got to hear from Carly Cylinder of Flour LA & author of The Flower Chef (Power of Networking) , LA-based Jana Williams of Jana Williams Photography (Branding Your Business), and New Orleans-based David Villarrubia of Degas House.
The excitement continued during the cocktail party thanks to Groovy 7! A few more of our favorite details from the day included: The venetian revelers and face painting by Carl Mack Presents, the photo booth by Deep Fried Photo and the opportunity to network and connect with so many talented pros.
Interested in attending one of our workshops? Yeah you are!
