See All of the Gorgeous Design and Flower Inspo From Fleurology

If “Fleurology Symposium” sounds like something out of a dreamy Shakespeare play to you, we’d have to agree.  The three-day, invite-only workshop is dedicated to educating and inspiring an exclusive community of luxury floral and event pros. Our very own, The Knot Deputy Editor, Lauren Kay, joined an amazing roster of celebrity speakers (including the-one-and-only Preston Bailey) at this year’s Houston event and had the opportunity to connect and share some of her knowledge and insights on the latest in trends and couples planning their weddings.

Below — a few of our favorite moments (including a VIP dinner at Hotel ZaZa Houston, hosted by The Knot) from the symposium. All the pretty images below are from Instagram via #Fleurology2017!

The very talented team from Laura Hooper Calligraphy led attendees through a workshop in modern calligraphy. Every attendee got a gorgeous green name tag- and don’t forget the special ghost chair inked by Laura’s team, and this quote: “A flower doesn’t compete with the flower next to it, it just blooms.”

Rachael Ann Lunghi of Siren Floral Co walked attendees through a class in compote arranging. Think: giant, luscious blooms suspended in a large glass or metal container.

Attendees flexed their artistic muscles during a workshop with The Sketchbook Series — a luxury experience designed to inspire creatives to artistically deliver concepts and messages.

Lauren Kay, The Knot Deputy Editor, spoke to a candlelit crowd at Hotel Zaza Houston. Note the pretty place settings with a copy of our national magazine placed below each napkin!
