To state the obvious, your online profile is incredibly important to your business. Businesses partnered with The Knot get Storefronts that allow them to showcase a curated portfolio, glowing reviews of their business, an about me section (not to mention an easy way to contact and book!). But here’s the thing: If you’re not paying attention, you could be missing out. So if you have a Storefront (and if you don’t, what the heck are you waiting for?), do a check to make sure you have all three of these features up and running!
1. Reviews (and a TON of them!)
Meg Garmers, owner of MG Hair & Makeup, has one of the best Storefronts on TheKnot.com (and by the way, she gets a ton of business because of it). But we digress. One of the best parts of her Storefront is the number of reviews she has. There are 92 reviews (and counting) written by couples who have used and loved her work! Real testimonials are one of the best ways to create trust and confidence with prospective couples. Take a look at her Storefront and you’ll also see that because of all her rave reviews, Meg has won The Knot Best of Weddings award for ever year since 2012. Talk about winning.
2. Pictures, pictures, and more pictures
Shaunae from Shaunae Teske Photography is genuine, fun, and has a rockstar Storefront on TheKnot.com. What makes it so great? The photos, obviously! Couples look for photographers who can capture their love story, from the first kiss as Mr. and Mrs. to the reception party dance off, so you need to make the most out of your image carousel. Check out how Shaunae has curated her image carousel, then go ahead and update yours. Remember to refresh images every 12 weeks to make sure you’re always showing off the most recent work you’ve produced.
3. Express yourself!
Today’s couples want to get to know the real you before reaching out, and they start by checking out the personal details on your Storefront on TheKnot.com. Diana Venditto, owner of Eventi Floral & Events, does an awesome job of showcasing her romantic (and creative!) personality through the “About this Vendor” and “Personal Bio” sections of her Storefront. Get a little inspiration from Diane here, and then go ahead and update your personal details on your own Storefront–include who you are, what your business does, and how you’ll make each couples experience totally unique.
