We can’t believe it’s just been two weeks since we attended a luxury weddings summit, called Engage, for some of the most elite wedding planners and pros in the industry. We’re talking about celebrity wedding planners, pros and designers including Marcy Blum, Sylvia Weinstock, Preston Bailey and Bryan Rafanelli.
The best part? When you throw a conference for a couple hundred wedding planners and pros, the party and the details are bound to be seriously inspiring. Below, all of the wedding-worthy details from our week in Sea Island, Georgia at The Cloister.
Check-in involved a gifting lounge filled with products and experiences we had never seen before. A few of our favorites? The H2O bar, local beauty products and the gorgeous leather ombre bags in blues and greens!
The opening sessions were uplifting and featured an incredible lineup of smart and savvy wedding speakers including Marcy Blum and our very own co-founder of The Knot, Carley Roney.
In between speakers, the first day breakout session seriously delighted all of us with a bubble bar! (Think coup glasses with sorbet and prosecco!)
That night, everyone bundled up for an outdoor Southern supper welcome party under the stars! Everything from the fried tomatoes to the southern country rock music by Elan Artists.
Of course the fun didn’t stop there. Attendees headed back after dinner for a silent disco and speakeasy-style after-party complete with bathtubs filled with mini prosecco bottles.
Regardless of whether we woke up regretting that prosecco, there was way too much fun to be had to miss out. Delicious breakfast and fresh juices were served in the foyer of The Cloister before we made our way into the main stage room.
Each chair included a schedule for the day (it and all the rest of the amazing gifts came from Gifts for The Goodlife.)
On Day two, the breakout sessions did not disappoint. A perfectly styled holiday themed room complete with personalized Coca-Cola bottles, a retro glam band and even Santa Claus had everyone in the spirit.
After morning sessions, it was time for lunch! On the menu: Southern-style lunch sandwiches.
On the very last day, there were more education sessions (including our own Anja Winikka!) followed by one of the most impressive galas we have ever seen. Life-sized trees transformed the room into a beautiful Southern garden. A few of the highlights…

Needless to say, we had a ridiculously good time meeting new friends and connecting with old ones. (This is us before we sat down to that fabulous gala dinner!) Photo by Phillip Van Nostrand — one of our new photographer friends!
A VERY special thank-you to the Engage16! team…. you all rock!
