What was it like taking over The Knot Instagram? It was wonderful! I’ve been inspired by The Knot Instagram and it’s beautiful posts for so long

What was your goal for the takeover? I wanted to get my photos out to a larger audience, and The Knot has a much greater reach compared to mine.

Did you achieve your goal?  Yes, definitely!

What inspired you to choose these photos?  I wanted to pick photos that were consistent with what The Knot was already posting, but I also wanted images that best represented me and my brand so my work could be properly showcased.

Did any of the photos you chose have an interesting story behind them? These were some of my FAVORITE images ever! They were light and airy and full of color — telling the story of how each wedding was bright, fun and full of happiness.

Who are your favorite Instagrammers right now?  I actually did a whole blog post about my favorite Instagrammers — check it out here!

Do you have any advice for wedding pros looking to ramp up their Instagram account?  Be consistent – post at least once a day. Mix in pieces of your work but also, throw in some details of your personal life so followers can get to know you. Keep your images light, bright and clutter-free!

Millennial couples are using social media more and more every day to connect with wedding pros. Have you made any connecting with potential couples via Instagram? Yes, a lot of couples I work with find me through Instagram! I post my work and pieces of my personal life, so couples get to know the real me better. That way they fall for my personality, as well as my work, they trust me and they’re faster to book me!
