Here are 3 simple tips on how you can manage negative reviews effectively:

  1. Read. Read the entire review and gather the facts around the negative feedback–the more informed you are, the better you’ll be able to craft a professional response.
  2. Relax. Avoid your instincts to reply back immediately and rashly–take a deep breathe and clear your mind before crafting your response.
  3. Respond. Keep your response brief and sincere! Thank them for their review, acknowledge that you did not meet their expectations and offer to continue the conversation offline.
