Our client portal My Account has gotten a serious facelift, but before I jump into the details, our fabulous tech team would like everyone to know that, contrary to what I implied in my previous post, they do not in fact have pointy ears, and they actually live in Texas where it’s warm. You guys rock!
Ok, now that that’s out of the way, please meet our Strategy Guru, Sarah Selph! She’s joined us once before and I called her up to get the scoop on what’s so great about the new My Account design. Here’s what she had to say:
Me: What’s your favorite thing about the new My Account design?
Sarah: I love how easy it is to navigate. It’s much easier to manage multiple profiles now because you can toggle between them with a drop down menu.
Me: Tell us more about the navigation, why did that change?
Sarah: We wanted to make it easier for clients to quickly find the information they need to reference most often. So the navigation now includes QuickLinks from the dashboard to popular items like Photos, Reviews, etc. Also there is a Home button on the top left so no one gets lost.
Me: Anything else that’s new that we should know about?
Sarah: Yes, another big improvement is that you can click out to see your profile directly from My Account to see how it looks. We’ll be adding live publishing soon, so as early as next week you should be able to make changes to your profile and immediately view how it looks (until live publishing launches, changes will continue to go live nightly).
When you first log in to My Account you will be prompted to take a tour of the new site to see all the changes.
